The Devlopment Site
Context
Local housing developer, Wyse Homes, is bringing forward plans for a residential housing development on land North of Howton Road in Highweek.
The proposed development is on two sites, either side of Western House, allocated for development in both the adopted and emerging local plans.
This consultation has been launched to engage with residents, listen to local views, and provide a platform for open dialogue. By encouraging active participation and feedback, we aim to deliver new homes that reflect community needs and lift development standards for the future of Highweek.
Detailed development proposals will emerge as the consultaion progresses, becoming available to view as the process evolves, however, a previous scheme for the development of 32 homes, was approved in 2018.
Whilst the proposal we bring forward will likely differ from the approved scheme; the approved plan, visible below, provides guidance on how the development may evolve.
Public Meeting
The development proposals for Howton Road are taking shape and we'd like to invite local residents to view the preliminary ideas and drawings.
There will be a public exhibition of the current layout, design principles, and housing mix, to understand local views and what changes the community think result in a better development.
Please join us at the Highweek Village Inn, between 2 - 6pm, on Tuesday 17th June to view the current proposals and understand what has contributed to the proposals this far.
